Flagpole Service & Maintenance

All flagpoles require regular maintenance to remain safe, functional, and looking their best. Whether it's replacing a worn halyard, repairing a broken pulley, or fixing a damaged truck assembly, addressing small issues early helps prevent larger, more costly repairs down the road.

Common Services We Offer:

  • Halyard Replacement (Rope or Cable)
    This is the most common flagpole maintenance request. Replacing your halyard at the first signs of wear is the most cost-effective option. If the halyard breaks and detaches from the truck assembly, a bucket lift will be required—adding time and expense.

  • Pulley & Truck Assembly Repairs
    Florida’s sun and heat can cause plastic pulleys and internal components to crack or wear down. We replace worn or damaged parts with high-quality components to restore smooth operation.

  • Snap & Hardware Replacement
    Flag snaps and clips wear out over time. We carry durable, weather-resistant replacements to ensure your flag flies securely.

  • Cable/Wire Halyard Care
    Wire halyards are strong but costly to replace. To extend their lifespan, we recommend occasional treatment with silicone spray to keep them running smoothly. If you see fraying or rust, it’s time to replace it.

Terms & Warranty

At Bates Flags & Flagpoles, LLC, we believe in transparency and quality service. Please review the following terms for purchases, installations, and services:

Payment Terms

  • Residential & Business Services: Payment is due COD (Cash on Delivery), unless otherwise noted.

  • Custom, Contracted, or Sub-Contracted Work: Prepay only, unless specified.

  • Repairs, Installations, and Orders $500+: Require a 50% deposit; balance due upon completion.

  • Flagpole Sales (Uninstalled by Us): Must be prepaid and are not covered under our Limited Warranty.

 
Accepted Payment Methods

  • We accept Cash, Checks, and Debit/Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover).

  • We do not accept American Express.

 
Late Payments

  • A finance/late fee of 18% APR (minimum $3.00) applies to balances unpaid after 15 days.

  • Repeated late payments will result in prepay-only status for future services.

 
Additional Fees

  • Travel, labor, fuel, and toll fees may apply for service calls outside our regular service area or where tolls are required.

  • Any special terms or conditions will be clearly listed on your estimate or quote.

 
Warranty Policy

  • Limited Warranty applies only to  Bates Poles and products provided by and installed by Bates Flags & Flagpoles, LLC.

  • Repairs on products not installed by us are excluded from warranty coverage.

  • Concord American flagpoles are all under a Limited Warranty through Concord American Flagpole.
